Who should attend?

Women of all ages, all fitness levels, anyone who is interested in starting a health and fitness program or maintain your existing program. This is the kind of weekend that can introduce a fitness and health program that you can take home with you.  Follow-up weekends will be planned along with other adventures for women during the year.

Friday, February 20

- Check in at Stork Nest Inn

- Wine and Cheese at 8 pm

Saturday, February 21

- 7 am optional brisk walk

- 8:45 am- breakfast

- 10 am - flexibility assessment at gym

- 10:30 am - fitness assessments

- 11:30 am - core conditioning class

- 12:30 pm -lunch - talk on proteins

- 1:30 pm - body fat assessments and completion of food diaries

- 2:45 pm - strength ball class as gym

- 3:30 pm - cardio circuit at gym

- 4:45 pm - talk on water and discussion for food diaries

- 5:45 pm dinner

Sunday, February 22

- 7 am optional brisk walk

- 8:45 am- breakfast

- 10 am - weight training at gym

- 11 am - stretch class

- 12 pm - lunch- evaluations, hand-outs, individual program results/programs given to participants

- 12:45 pm- depart

About the Facilitator

Carla McConnell (Bodyz by Dezign Health and Fitness)

Carla has a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition.  She began work in a clinical setting 20 years ago and then shifted her attention to sport specific nutrition and moved towards a focus on wellness vs illness.  Since that time she has worked as a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Individual Personal Trainer, Pre and Post Natal Fitness Specialist, and works improving fitness of the aged. Carla started her business "Bodyz by Dezign Health and Fitness" in 1990 with the goal to inspire groups and individuals to attain higher levels of fitness and health.
